Exposure to PM&R during BUSM I-III:

Interested students are encouraged to contact the Department of PM&R and establish shadowing opportunities/observerships in the outpatient clinic, anytime during BUSM I-III.  These may be several (1-4) weeks in duration, and approval is up to the discretion of the Attending Physicians (our Faculty) you may wish to work with.  These opportunities are a privilege, not a right.  Be professional, inquisitive (you are there to learn), engaged, and honor your commitment.
The Department is located in the Preston Family Building, 5th floor, Room F511.  You may also call (617) 414-0044 and speak with Ms. Anne Novak.

Exposure to PM&R during BUSM IV:

Other medical schools have a required PM&R rotation (at least 2 weeks).  BUSM currently does not.

You can set up a 4-week elective rotation in PM&R during BUSM IV.
If you are interested in the field, you will want to schedule this rotation early (blocks 9-13) to receive a letter of recommendation and a grade that will be transmitted timely to Residency programs.
The course is:
090.1 Introduction and Overview of Rehabilitation Medicine

Resident Lecture Series and PM&R Grand Rounds:

Every Tuesday.  See calendar for detailed information.

Become a BUSM PM&R SIG member:

Members of the SIG are likely to be among your best sources of information.  The senior student members are enthusiastic about relaying their experience and knowledge meaningfully to freshman, sophomore and junior students.  Contact members through the SIG members list section, or come to our events.
